Shahrzad Ossouli is an Iranian contemporary painter and artist, born in 1954 in Tehran. She is a graduate of painting from the School of Fine Arts and the Faculty of Decorative Arts in Tehran. Since the 1980s, she has exhibited her works in numerous exhibitions in Iran, Canada, Germany, Turkey, Italy, and other countries. Ossouli’s works reflect her inner vision, memories, and lived experiences of life, nature, and humanity—an outlook that poetically bridges mysticism and everyday reality.
In series such as *My Homeland*, color and light are employed to express emotions and memories. By combining oil and acrylic, she creates abstract, imaginative spaces that evoke Iranian poetry and mysticism. In addition to her artistic practice, Ossouli has for many years played an influential role in teaching art to the blind and to people with disabilities, viewing art as a means of connection, growth, and hope.
