About the “My Homeland” Series

The “My Homeland” series consists of abstract paintings by Shahrzad Ossouli in which memories and emotions connected to her native land are expressed through a combination of oil and acrylic. With a calm atmosphere, harmonious colors, and a spiritual tone, the works invite the viewer into a mental and emotional landscape.

Inspired by great poets such as Hafez and Rumi, the underlying themes create a connection between mysticism, nature, and the human mind. Each work is a personal journey into the realm of memory, featuring symbols such as mountains, deserts, and a solitary tree.

This series offers a renewed perspective on mystical concepts—not through traditional ecstasy, but through deep contemplation, a subtle sense of melancholy, and a surreal lens.
